International Women’s Day Banquet

Wednesday, March 6 at 5:30pm

Every year, we celebrate women in our community with a banquet. Over the past several years we have introduced elaborate themes, inviting guests to dress in costumes, in extravagant outfits, or in their everyday wear. We want women to celebrate their day exactly the way they want to.   This year will be no different. With a beautiful theme of rich colours and luscious textures, A Night Under the Moroccan Moon will surely be an evening to remember.

As usual, the night will offer food, entertainment, prizes and our infamous auction tables. Bring your wallets, your wine and the women in your life. All ages are welcome.

Dress in your favourite jeans, or come adorned in jewels and silk slippers. This is your night, and we plan on making sure that you enjoy it!

In order to save time at the registration table this year, we are asking that those of you who are able to stop in and pay in advance, please do so. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members (which includes a membership until September 2019).

16 Days of Action to end gender & sex-based violence

Between November 25 and December 10, the LDWC partners with the Sherbrooke Record to raise awareness about gender based violence. The series publishes articles contributed by guest writers expressing ideas and experiences surrounding the theme.

The Secret Santa Campaign pairs kids of all ages with community sponsors so that we, as a community, can fulfill the wishes of children and families who do not necessarily have the means to.
