Our Services
We offer a wide variety of services to support women and their families, including:
- Referral to English-language services.
- Information about community services and programs, which are beneficial for women and their children.
- A safe and confidential meeting place.
- Compassionate listening, either by phone or in person.
- A trained counsellor and a place where you can talk privately.
- A Breast Cancer support group.
- Help for women with limited financial resources (clothing, Christmas baskets, etc.).
- A library containing books, magazines, and videocassettes. Our literature covers a widerange of topics pertinent to women, including self-help, health concerns, women’s rights and issues.
- Computer Internet Access. We offer free Internet access to our members thanks to The Community Internet Access Program. This program, funded by Industry Canada, has helped to establish 10,000 public Internet sites.
- Outreach. Funding from Centraide allows us to offer services and activities in areas such as Stanstead, Richmond, and Sawyerville.
