From November 25th to December 10th every year, the LDWC contributes a series to the Sherbrooke Record exploring gender and sex based violence. Survivors, educators, advocates and community members contribute articles to raise awareness on the different forms of violence that affect our community.
White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement of men and boys working to end violence against women and girls, promote gender equity, healthy relationships and a new vision of masculinity. The LDWC partners with schools to provide ribbons and resources. Interested in starting a White Ribbon campaign in your community?
Join us for the World Women’s March to celebrate International Women’s Day! The Marche mondiale des Femmes was started by the Fédération des femmes du Québec and has become an international feminist movement that advocates for gender equality and aims to take action to end sex and gender based discrimination and violence.
